Biker or enthusiast ? 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Ok this one could get ugly....

When I think of the word "biker" several things come to my mind and most of them if not all point to a long stay in a prison cell.

Things like a bloody initiation ceremony , grizzly tattoos, old ladies, beer, use drugs of various kinds, beer, sell drugs of various kinds, beer, bars and skanky hangouts, you absolutely MUST have a Harley Davidson no exception to that rule. A four-letter language..... And I'm sure I'm missing a dozen other things...

Am I missing something or is there some small redeeming factor here I'm missing?

The enthusiast however, I guess can be some of the above, just not all because then he turns into a "biker"

I am a biker...have been for 37 years...I am not a criminal...I have a respectable job, no tats, no criminal record...but I ride every chance I get, including long vacations and for no reason at all...my boots wear down on top because of the toe shifter...I've ridden in rain, snow, heat so oppressive that speeding up made it worse and cold that froze the condensation from my breath onto my Van Dyke. You must think all bikers are outlaw bikers...that may be so but only in spirit for most.

Silly enthusiast. That is a liberal argument. Who cares what one calls themselves or others? Next we will be labeling a biker as a documented(licensed) vehicle balancer of a an up to 2 person 2 or 3 wheeled road craft... so that no one gets offended.

I like your post... I've always considered myself in the same category as you.... I guess a lot of folks just think that there's some "outlaw" criteria that needs to be met first? Never could quite understand that myself.

Way too many people judge "biker" by the actions of a few. Let your actions define your definition and let others judge from there.

Do you mean "Wild Hogs"? Use caution when categorizing. There aren't just two of anything except black and white!

In the movie, a clear comedy, both sides equally silly in their outlook. Myself? Neither biker nor enthusiast... Just a guy who likes to ride (and it's a great way to spend time with my wife) that's it.
