That's the top speed of MotoGP bikes during practice and qualifying at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas yesterday, making it officially the fastest track on the circuit. Live race coverage at 2:30 PM on SPEED. Rookie Marc Marquez became the youngest person to qualify on pole for a premier class race yesterday, and the way the (barely) 20 year-old is dragging his ELBOWS around the track, if he has the stamina, tires, and fuel capacity, I expect him to be untouchable today, but the racing is gonna be good. 3.5 miles, 20 turns, it's wide, and has lots of 2nd and 3rd gear corners, so there should be plenty of passing going on. The 20 turns and all the left-right-left transitions favor the strong riders.
It's gonna be GOOOOOOOOOOOD!

211 MPH? That's about 100 MPH faster than I wanna be going on 2 wheels. I guess since I can't watch the race, I'll just have to ride this afternoon. I'd rather ride than watch anyway.
