Heres a good one found on a Swedish Chain Saw .

Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals.

I consider myself a manly man but never thought to show it in this manner.

Oh man, you got to be kidding. Sorry about high jacking this topic away from helmets and cold weather, but stopping a chain saw with your genitals? This should be it's own thread, then we'd heard many more stories I'm sure.

I'm not in the habit of using the boys to stop ANYTHING!!!

I ride with a Shoei GT-Air full face at the moment. I've always had a full face and the best way of keeping the visor from fogging up is the fighter pilot style breath guard as shown by midwestmike. I had one for my old HJC CL14 back 10 years ago. I could ride in freezing temperatures with my visor closed and mouth breath at a stop light without any fogging. I don't know which manufactures offer this style of breath guard anymore, but it was the best one I've used. I partnered that helmet with a Helly Hansen balaclava that I tucked into my jacket and I was nice and warm riding a naked bike in the cold.

Sounding off from Colorado and when it's chilly I wear an Icon Airmada helmet, the padding is really nice, the shield really doesn't fog with the correct vents open and mine has a badass graphic on it. I also have two half shells a 3/4, an HJC full face, Arai full face and a Red Sox proback cap. If I am on the highway especially in traffic the Airmada is the only way to go, it is warm, quiet, and looks badass! Here is a pic.

That is one of the coolest graphics I've seen.

I got my first full face helmet to try in colder weather, but it was an old HJC that didn't fit very well and the vents sucked and the visor was even worse. It would fog in the desert. Nothing against the brand, this was just an older helmet with miles handed down and without more recent advancements.

Anyway, I have a half-way decent Bell now and I guess - like most things - you get what you pay for, because this is much better. Still a bit loud, but way quieter than open ears. And the visor never fogs more than an quarter inch from the bottom edge.

I guess my point is that I wear a full helmet in the cold because it's far more comfortable, my eyes don's water, and my attention stays on traffic instead of how GD cold I am.

My motorcycle is an extension of my body. I never was very coordinated.
