Congrats on the new bike!

Too bad about the rain, but you sure had the February temps for this run.

We were coming down from northern Michigan yesterday, got chased out by the temps.

Saw 70 degrees on the run down, strange deal passing bikes while towing a snowmobile trailer.

Haven't even done my taxes yet

Bars aren't too bad so far. Time will tell on that though.

And the black Roadie is for sale. Just had to go get this one because it was a good deal. So, anyone want a FI Roadie with a boatload of extras?

Well, fell into a pretty good deal on a 2015 with 4,000 miles on the clock. Had to drive almost 1,000 mile round trip to get it but it was worth it Drove down in the car, bought it, and rode home. Wife was an absolute trooper on this one too. Yesterday was an extremely long day to say the least.

Rained on me for the first 200 miles However, this bike is absolutely amazing in the rain. Wasn't even wearing rain gear and the only thing that got wet was my hair and the very bottom of my pants. Like only the first couple inches. This thing rides in the rain awesome too. High speeds and it felt stuck to the ground no problem.

Heated hand grips and cruise control are a total game changer too

This thing accelerates on the expressway. Instead of just making more noise The motor is impossibly smooth all the way to the top end.

Suspension feels very balanced. Front and rear move together like they're supposed to. Only complaint I have is that something feels a tad loose up front when doing high speed turns (80+ or so). Grant told me there is some sort of front fork brace. I'll have to research that a bit more soon.

Gas mileage and range really surprised me. Calculated 38mpg and I wasn't riding conservatively at all. Lots of jaunts up into 3 digits and lots of riding way above 80 on that tank of petrol. Went over 200 miles before filling up. Riding the Roadie like that gets me high 20mpg's and fill ups were just over 100 miles. Really have to grandpa drive the Roadie to get close to 40mpg.

The headlights are absolutely amazing. Stock bulbs are about 400% better than the LED and adjure lens on my Roadie. I can actually see far up ahead. The brights are as good or better than those found on my F-150. That's a huge plus for me as I frequently find myself riding in the dark in the middle of nowhere.

Long day and 500 miles of riding had my butt a bit sore but I wasn't nearly as tired as usual. I suspect the lack of constant vibrations helps with that immensely.

It's not all rainbows and unicorns though. Grips are a bit small. Holding on too tightly caused my hand to go numb after awhile. It's definitely made for short legged people too. My legs are bent a bit more than I'd like. I think some highway pegs will help with that just to move my feet to a different position for a few minutes here and there. The radio is actually very good for a stock system but I'd like it to be a little louder and have a bit more bass. It's way better than what I have on the Roadie though. I can still hear it at 100. Cant control song selection with the on board controls from your iPhone/iPod as far as I can tell either. Will have to investigate that further.

I'm wondering how your F6B compares to a Valk? Have you tried one of those, Kyle?

LOL,,,,, I knew it wouldn't be long before you got that bike. After seeing you and Kristina on Grant's bike at the meet and greet, it was just a matter of time.
Glad you found one that your real happy with. See you in September Kyle.

This thing moves real good. Put another bunch of miles on today with the wife. Transmission is clunky as hell. Really doesn't affect too much once you get up to speed because you never need to downshift to pass or anything

Also, linked brakes suck and I hate them.

There, it's not all good but it's mostly good

Passenger backrest is fairly useless because it's too low. Need to investigate a higher one. Also, passenger foot pegs are too low/far away for my passenger. So, will probably end up modifying that soon.

Stupid thing doesn't Bluetooth (really, this thing was made in 2015 ) but it does have a USB port and I'm pretty sure they make something that plugs into the USB thing that makes it Bluetooth capable. Gonna have to get one of those too.

So, highway pegs, couple of backrest changes/add ons, some handlebar mounts for phone and gps, and some minor stereo add ons will round this thing out nicely.

Really, I'm surprised these things don't come with a nicer stereo system with a touchscreen infotainment type thing. I'm sure they'll come out with one now that I own the old one
