Cell Phone Mount? 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Does anyone have any suggestions on how and where to mount my iPhone 6s Plus for easy viewing and manipulating on a Roadstar with a windshield? I would like easy accessibility to the GPS map/nav functions specifically since I can handle everything else via Bluetooth. I'm considering trying this suction cup grip on the inside of the windshield but am hesitant due to fear of the suction cup coming loose and the phone dropping.

I bought fhe Tech Gripper and am very happy with it. More expensive than most mounts but we'll made and adjustable. Fits my S5 with an Otterbox Defender cas fine....and can go larger. Good tight grip no fear of loosing the phone when riding.

Get this that mounts into one of your risers. Keeps everything real clean. Then get the cradle specific to your phone.

Shores, Thank you for the information. I followed the link to the site and scrolled down the list of compatible motorcycles and the Roadstar wasn't listed. Are you sure that one of the included bolts will fit my stock riser?Shores wrote:

DK if that is the specific one I purchased. The ball is the main thing to get. Just make sure you either get one with the metric bolt or go buy a longer metric bolt later. Don't worry about the listing. You can always call them directly to make sure you are getting the right one.

Shores, sounds good. That is the route I'm taking. That makes for a nice clean installation and I will be able to transfer the phone to a Ram mount ball on the console of my boat as well.Shores wrote:

Re:Cell Phone Mount? 2 Years, 1 Month ago
The RAM mounts are probably the best. I own one, not the type in the link, but one that goes around the handle bars. The only issue I have is that the contraption is huge. I've been looking for a smaller form factor. I haven't found anything yet that I was confident enough with.

The only thing I need my phone on my bike for is navigation. Now, what I do is just listen to the directions via Bluetooth, or I wear headphones plugged into my phone which is in my pocket. That seems to work nicely and my bike has a clean look instead of a giant cell phone thing on it. But, I tend to be minimalist. I take more off my bike than I put on. I only just recently, due to the weather, put my windscreen back on. So, take my advice with a grain of salt.

Just a thought.

I've had quite a few cell phone mounts for various different bikes and this is by far the easiest and most versatile system i have ever used and the best imho. You can mount your phone or gps with no problem and you can change the location in a matter of seconds. I also like that i can take it off of one bike and put it on my other bike in less than 10 seconds which is great.
