its a good battery, but everyone I've talked to seems to get more life out of the OEM battery than any other one. Its up to you...

stop fiddlin around and get a ballistic lithium battery. smaller, lighter, last longer, stronger, faster charge rate, etc.

Personally not sold on the little batteries til I see many of them last 5 years or more, like my AGMs.

My Stock SV battery ran 7 years on a battery tender junior, and the replacement AGM from Bikebatts.com lasted 5, that is, until my rectifier took a dump and smoked it.

My Road Star is on year 4 with the O'reilly's 310 CCA AGM. 60-100 bucks for an AGM that lasts that long, I'm good with.

Little battery technology, All I have to say is, how long does a cell phone battery seem to be "awesome"? Not to mention the issues with large capacity batteries of this type catching on FIRE in aircraft. At least 10 aircraft have been damaged by these batteries and thier frailties in the past 3 years. We pulled one out of a Cessna CJ4 and could not even find a carrier that would return it to Wichita for about 5 weeks. They originally could not get us enough info to safely discharge it.

I'll wait about 15 years on those things.

My oem made it 6yrs, so I replaced it with another and had this one for 2 now with no problems. I wish Optima made batteries for bikes. Had mine in my boat for 7yrs (blue top marine dual purpose) and no problems still. Got an Optima in my 89 Bronco (only drive on the farm periodically) that's 5yrs old and starts every time. Just put one in my daily driver 2003 F150 since the g/f left the headlights on an killed the old Walmart battery that was in it when I bought it 3.5yrs ago.

I'm with JD on the lithiums, I'm not convinced. God knows cell phone batteries don't last and get ruined from daily charging.

and on the upside - besides costing a ton of money, the lithium can over heat, catch on fire and blow up.
send you flying like a ballistic missile. There is a reason they name them ballistic....
I'll pass
