Thats Florida coast to coast. Had a great ride yesterday, left the Gulf of Mexico around 7:30 am and made our way across to Daytona beach then south to Cape Canaveral then down the coast to Melbourne and back over. The only issues is my normal with a long ride, a dead battery at the last stop and a push start to get me home. Oh and I need a better seat.

Charging issues or a bad battery?
Look at getting a Ultimate (they have a store in Daytona) or an ED seat. My Ultimate is the best mod I've made to my bike yet!

I think its the charging system, I have had the battery load tested and it holds a charge. I have the 04 with the reported inadequate charging system. The next thing on the list is a seat, I will look into both of those.

Zero I have an 04 and haven't had a problem with mine yet, your stator must be going bad or has gone bad?

Just noticed there is a ED big touring seat in the classifieds and there is also a complet Ultimate 4pc set on there might ought to check them out while you can get a good deal on a used seat
