Yecckkk... for starters...he tore the entire skin layer of his heel right off. Was that a high-speed wobble? He may as well rode naked for what little protection he had on. A true squid. Hope he is ok and perhaps it provides a lesson that will last a life time.
I had a bad crash when I was 16 and walked away with next to no harm. But since then, going around turns fast has no appeal what so ever.

I go moderately fast around corners when I'm feeling my oats sometimes, but that's because I have a car tire on the rear. However, knowing that if I do crash, my chances of coming out okay are so much higher when I have all my gear on. Statistics show all kinds of results with and without a helmet, for example, so I wonder sometimes if wearing more gear means you are generally a more responsible person and maybe don't take as many chances. I wonder how that would work out.

I believe all adults should be able to decide for themselves, but I DON'T much care when others have to cover the costs for medical bills for those under insured or to support those left behind.

From what I was watching from the start, he was destined for a bad end regardless of what he was wearing. His entire approach to riding a bike seemed to be, "go regardless of whatever else is happening, until you crash". Hopefully he's the last branch on a family tree.

That's interesting. I read something similar once about a study in the UK. The determined that bicyclists who wore helmets were safer riders. So riders with helmets were in fewer accidents.

Who the F goes 113 mph (183 KPM) with flip flops? Who rides 113 mph in most likely at max speed limit of 65 or 70 mph? His back must be a F'ing mess with all the time he spent sliding on it. His foot is the very least of his worries trust me. Another skin graft expert he will be in his months of recovery from that one. No sleeping on your back, no showers for months, no sitting on the toilet, no driving a car for months.
