Front axle head size? 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I can't find the size listed anywhere, raining here so can't take bike to shop to grab tools. Anyone know what size socket I need to bring home to remove front wheel? I'm swapping front rotors, anything special I need to know? Never had the wheel off before, my new rotors are pretty do I need to install the solid hub cap pieces on new rotors? Thanks for any info you have, also I have no tool kit in case someone is going to say the socket came in kit. Good day to you.

https://sites.google.com/site/tykesplace/yamaha-roadstar/service-manuals
down load the appropriate manual for you bike it will help you a lot I know this site helped me and if I ain't mistaken the not is a 22mm. Just don't loose the spacers as they will fall out when you drop the wheel and look at the tech tips on this forum .TECH ARTICLES wheels maintenance.

Thanks, all done. Used rotors installed in front, rides like a different bike now. only issue I had was when I removed the front wheel the bike wanted to tip off jack. Next time I will put a block under the rear tire before removing the front. Also I put some goop on the rear pads to stop the squeeling, it worked. And I'm warm in my new coat, and my feet are warm with my new crash bar chaps. Looking forward to the next ride, being cold sucks. Still looking for inexpensive drivers backrest options with no rear seat, and some kind of batwing with no holes. Keep up the great work gang!
