Sorry, I looked for the box and I do not have it anymore. It was a blue box with a picture of a starter with a push button on it (I remember this because I thought it would be cool to have without a ignition). The chrome starter I received was not called high torque but is approximately 1 inch longer. I had to loosen oil line to install the new one and the old one fit out without moving line.

Thunder fire, I just found her eBay add. Search " chrome starter Yamaha roadstar" listed for 189us but she gave me a forum discount when messaged. Good luck. Mine has been working flawless all season but I have seen a post about someone elses leaking oil..

I also messaged her and sent her my phone number and she called me back. I also got a RSC member discount. I talked to her on the phone for a while and thought she was a great person to do business with.

Ok. I emailed Rick's Motorsportsand they recommended a brush plate that comes as complete assembly including hot bolt scored one for 25 bucks eBay and I also ordered an OEM in case it is a pos part . But I can't help but say that the OEM parts is defective because it cracked at each 90 degree turn and where the bolt went through I just don't understand maybe the current is slapping it back and forth after I put the new brush plate in and it works out I will replace the hot wires with the oversize wires then I got here at the clinic one thing at a time though I could not find any info on Rick Motorsports brushes or starters here on the clinic so I will post what I find
his starters are 274.95 anyone use one?

Re:Where do we get replacement starters 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago
UPDATE: i got both oem and rick's brush kit real quick, the ricks hot brush spreader plate was steel, came with new bolt, plastic insulators, phenolic washers, oring, so i used it, due to history of brass cracking on the OEM. one caveat, the ricks plastic insulators were "off" by 1 mm, so i had to 220 sand it down so the hot bolt would go thru starter housing dead center in the hole to prevent arcing, the brushes were the same size, 6mm thick. looked like a decent part. ill keep the OEM in my saddlebags, along with hex tools just in case.
