Get a plate and you're done, no inspections. There really isnt anything different about it other than the paperwork says its "Salvage" and that usually brings a lower price. Platinum Boarder Posts: 3169 Re:Rebuilt Titles 4 Years, 1 Month ago   In 2000' i bought a 1999 vstar 650 custom.It was an insurance total,i had to replace the front wheel ring(the spokes and hub were fine),had to replace the right side foot peg mount and the exhaust.The paint was great but it did have a dent on the top of the tank,i pulled it out with a "dent king" from wally world,and the handlebars were slightly bent.I did all my own labor,i paid 1200 for the bike,it had about 2000mi.on it.I put about $425 dollars into it in parts,rode it for about 18 months and sold it for $3300   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access. #730655 75kona (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 1153 Re:Rebuilt Titles 4 Years, 1 Month ago   I'm feeling better and better about this.
