tommy,

Believe what you want, and do what you want. The Amsoil tests were independently run, and the results you saw were the results they got.

The point is simply this: All the oil tests are already agreed upon industry standardized tests.

Nearly all modern oils are very, very good... whether dino or synthetic. There's just never been anything like them before. This is the very reason, also, why we now have so many very specific types of oils... it's because there has now become a lot of specialization. Oil for bikes, oil for high mileage vehicles, oil for the most heavily emission controlled vehicles, oil for high-performance vehicles, for diesel engines, etc., etc.

If you buy a Goldwing, and run Honda dino, and go by the proper maintenance schedule, I don't doubt you'll be served very well... but, if you go with the highest rated syns, you will do even better.

I'm not aware of any oil testing that would suggest otherwise.

I have an Amsoil account...... used it for several changes, however I have yet to see documentation that the tests were independendly run. If you ask Module One what do you think they would say? I have no doubt Amsoil is Great Oil,but there are other brands that are just as good if not better. Again. I see NO Documentation of an independend study.

Bike seems to run smooth on Mobil-1 or Amsoil. I would go with either one if she is a keeper.

Again..... show me a test that Amsoil had nothing to do with. I ain't saying Amsoil ain't good oil. I am saying there are others that are just as good, and can be purchased over the counter.

It doesn't matter. If you run the industry standard tests, you get the results that you get. If you fudge the results, you didn't run the industry standardized test.

How do you get unbiased results. You run the standardized tests blind, not revealing what oil was what until after the test.

It makes no sense to falsify the results, when anyone else could run the very same standardized test... and prove their results WRONG.

What would that do to their credilbilty... and SALES???

You can't lie about it and get away with it... that simply just can't happen.

In fact, if they had falsified the test results... someone else would have ALREADY blown the whistle on them, and we here would already know about it. The very fact that no one else has (Mobil, for example) actually testifies to the truthfulness of their published test results, even if it does amount to an argument from silence.

If my product was actually better, and their tests results were falsified, I'd go public with that and generate all the free publicity I could with the news to hurt their sales and boost my own.

I've been thinking about using the "The Southern Synthetic" Bacon grease. But my Doctor told me NO! She said your cholesterol is too high.

A little off topic, but....I'm an old guy on SS. Found Mobil 1 15-50 racing oil at K-mart yesterday for $4.65 qt. I had just paid $10.65 for Mobil V twin 20-50. Not sure about the ppm status and don't really care at this point. I bought enough for a couple of years.
