how tall of bars can one go without changing any cables or wiring

I have 12" apes on 4" risers. I had to change my cables but I had just enough wiring to reach. There is some extra wiring stuffed into your headlight that you can pull out.

i have 12.5 and didn't have to change anything. my brake line is tight, you can reroute the cables to get some slack.
