Platinum Boarder Posts: 6961 Re:flared batwing windshield 4 Years ago   My understanding is that acrylic and polycarbonate are generic names. Plexiglass, Tuffak, Hyzod, etc are brand names. Acrylic is harder, doesn't scratch as easily, but fractures easier and has a sharp edge if it does. Poly is tougher but scratches easier. Then there is an impact modified acrylic. DK who uses that in cycle windshields. Platinum Boarder Posts: 7151 Re:flared batwing windshield 4 Years ago   FastAire is what I use in mine. The 'flared' one is a little bit pricey, but comes with a lifetime warranty against breakage. I have the tallest one and don't like it for visibility, but it cuts the wind down significantly compared to a regular 6" shield.
