Ah a trip down memory lane!!!

69 Honda 450 Double Overhead Cam Scrambler
71, 175 Kawasaki
72, 250 Suzuki
71, 750 Honda K1
75, KX 400 Kawasaki
79, 175 Yamaha
76, 750 Honda
06, Road Star Silverado in Fast White

They were all great in their own way. The 450 was my first and I rode it everywhere as a teen and young man. It taught me how to handle a scooter and stay alive. The dirt bikes taught me reflexes and how to handle the unexpected. The KX 400 Kaw was the first bike the scared me with its unpredictable power and speed, nothing compared to the bikes of today, but to me that wheel in the air at will was exhilerating. The 750 K1 was a beauty that carried me over much of the US and Canada with camping gear in tow. I rode it hard and it loved it. The Road Star has just begun its lessons and I hope to learn much in the coming years.

All of the other bikes I've owned have been used. Most of them bought just because the price was right. Some of them I kept as little as a month. The Roadie was the first bike I've seen that I liked enough to pay new price for and I'ts the first bike I've had that pushes all the right buttons. I'd say your started at the top too

It was weird...briefly dated a woman who rode a Vstar 1100, and that got me looking around at bikes... At first I thought I wanted a Fat Boy, but after researching, I've known for years that a Road Star was what I wanted. Then one day the perfect deal fell into my lap. Oddly enough, I bought my Roadie from an HD dealership.

This bike will last a lot longer than Miss VStar did! Well, if I stop tinkering with it, it will. Yeah, right, like THAT'S gonna happen...
