I am building a custom bike with rigid frame and Roadstar engine.

I just noticed that the Roadstar Warrior has a smaller battery than the Roadstar models.

The Roadstar Warrior Battery is :
13 amps.
175 CCAmps.
5.91 inches Long.
5.71 inches tall.
2.76 inches wide.

The Roadstar battery is:
18 AmpH.
310 CCAmps.
3.4 inches wide.
6.88 inches long.
6.1 inches tall.

Is the 18 amp hour overkill?
Is this the reason some Roadstar owners report weak starting issues?

The stock battery that comes in the older carb models were 275cca. The wires are a big problem they are very undersized. Erbman has a fantastic set they are very well made and are marine grade #4 wire. I made my own set of #4 wires but they are no where as good as Erbman's. A set of his wires, a Warrior Starter, a Warrior Starter relay, and a 310cca battery and you will be good to go.

Marine grade wires are tined with silver.
Normal #4 AWG copper wire is not tinned.
