I watched part one last night and want to see the others. It was entertaining. Loved watching them race on all those old bikes. Take it for what it is...drama...not technical.

It's OK. Don't count on the Discovery channel for historical accuracy. I wonder what the guys over at Polaris (Indian) think of being shown in such a bad light. Could this be nothing more than a marketing ploy? Trying to take back a chunk of business Indian has taken away? Couldn't help but notice the well placed H-D commercials.

Yeah they sure are showing Indian in a really bad light. It's really good show though. I saw a clip about the making of the show. There are no real vintage cycles in the show. the bikes they race Were built from scratch' They custom fabricated every one!!

Back to the HD thing. HD has a rep they earned, lately they have worked really hard to change that rep. The biggest shame is it took Polaris getting into the bike scene with Vic for them to start really trying to fix their rep. They make great looking bikes that ride really well, and have plenty of fringe bene's to them but lets not act like they have made great bikes forever.

Okay I watched the 1st episode of Harley and the Davidsons and throughout the whole program I couldn't get past thinking that this is just an elaborate "Info-mercial" for HD leading up to their two new motor releases. No wonder Harley's cost so much... I mean Sturgis focused their audience on Flat Track racing, promoted a custom flat track ride by Roland Sands, launches of Harley's new touring bikes and their new motors. Imagine the cost, just to get the mindless to jump on board. The worse part of the series was when I saw todays classic hand grab/arm embrace performed in the 1st episode, like it was Harley that invented it.... puke! I would bet that this series is based on 5% truth and 95% ficton to bolster the HD stigma.
