I'm 175 lbs, and I lowered mine about 2 inches with Barons adjustable bones, and hit bottom. I put a 930 lb spring on, and that worked for me, but then I don't ride 2 up.

Without the heavier spring it wasn't all that stable if I hit a rough place on the curves, it tended to throw the bike around some.

After I put the heavier spring on, she's stable in the curves again, but if I was riding 2up I would go with Smokes setup.

keep in mind, that there is only about a 1/2 inch of travel on the nut from softest to hardest setting. I believe stock is set in middle. At a minimum you would need the heavier spring for 2 up, then there is the issue of which pipes you run if they are not stock pipes. At the time I did mine, me and my gal were in at about 280lbs, and had 2 3/4 HK pipes, also the 1k lb spring, put it to you this way, my pipes were scraped from the floorboards to tail (30 inches). I went back to stock height after 3 days

Generally speaking the nut on the seat is the only consistent "irregular" nut on these bikes! It's often tough to seperate the nuts on the stock shock if they have backed all the way down. Access sucks without a lift. Be careful not to pull that breast over on your head

I'm 240, my wife is about 180, pipes do drag, but it can be avoided.

Roadwing is the only way to go! I've done it on two bikes now! And you can adjust the pre-load on the fly at the flip of a switch while cruising down the road!!
