Just remember that any seat the sits you lower also moves you forward some.

I have the mustang seat and it is fine for me. But if you are over 6'
you probably want to go with the ultimate or the corbin. Just my 03cents.

i had a mustang seat and im only 5.10 and felt it was moving me up to close. the biggest thing was I found was mine wasnt very comfy.. I rode it for a few months and it always felt hard,, needless to say its gone,, Im at cross roads finding another seat,, leaning towards the corbin solo seat,, anyone riding with one ?

I have about 10,000 total miles of saddle time with my Ultimate. Longest single day ride with it has been a little over 500 miles. I would not trade my Ultimate for anything. My best investment yet! If you like the seating position of the stock seat, you should like the Ultimate just fine. I didn't notice any change in rider position at all. BTW I'm 6' 210lbs

I have had my Mustang for about 6 months and 8,000 miles. Longest day near 600 miles. I guess it moves you somewhat forward, but I like the position. I am 6.0 with a 32" inseam and 210 pounds. At first it felt hard and like I was sitting on a narrow bench. After about a week it felt like home. I can go all day without fidgiting in the saddle. The passenger pillion is very comfortable if you take passengers.
Good luck it is not an easy choice.

do not want to be pushed forward.

Both of these seats will push you forward. That said, I chose (and love) the Mustang Vintage Wide Touring seat and I'm 6'1".

Good luck!

I got the yamaha comfort cruise solo (made by corbin) I am pretty happy with it but after a while my butt gets a bit sore right about the time for fuel after a fill up I'm good to go again. Did the Ironazz ride last year with it no problem (500+miles one day)

Re:Mustang vs. Ultimate Seats 10 Years, 3 Months ago
Recently got back from a 700 mile trip in which half the miles were riden on the Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive. That is a lot of 35-45 mph driving! The new Corbin Dual Touring Saddle was excellent and my wife and I had no complaints. The driver's backrest makes a huge difference.

Despite the downside of it moving you forward some, I believe the Mustang is a very good aftermarket seat. I would have kept mine for awhile longer if it would have had a backrest or if I would have been able to add one to it. I plan to put the studded Mustang Seat and matching passenger backrest on e-bay in the near future.
