I joined that club a couple of years ago when I tried to run a car off the road

I too was able to keep two wheels on the pavement and ride to a stop. Only minor damage all round, but the embarrassment of it still stings a little to this day. Agreed about keeping your eyes on the road. That would have prevented my incident as well. Glad you are OK and the bike only has minor problems.

Ride safe y'all,

-M7

I'll tell you this, I've changed my views of wearing a helmet. Had I actually went down, I'm sure my old nogin would be injured.

Safety first!

Glad you're okay, kryinggame!

Went down once on a Yamaha Nuevo here in Thailand at a U-turn. Someone clipped my back wheel while at a complete stop, and knocked the bike out from under me. I went down hard -- right shoulder and head first. When my helmet hit the pavement, the first thing I thought was, "Thank God for the helmet."

I wear a helmet all the time, even though they aren't very popular over here.

Again, glad you're okay!
