Butter Bean, I get your way sometimes. I like to play golf at Rock Hollow. Nice course.

Well, I missed this thread entirely. I've already blabbed so much this is redundant, but I'm bored.

I'm Joe, a 54 year old trial lawyer in the West Houston area. I've ridden bikes on and off all my life (even commuting to college on a 350 Honda from 72 to 76, but I've learned I'm not a committed long hauler, at least yet. I bought the new (then) 94 Magna for my mid life crisis, and after a few years it felt too small and insubstantial for my ego, so I got excited about the Road Star hype and got a new 99 very soon after they came out, and ridden semi-regularly, but for pretty short distances.

I have one (nearly perfect) 18 year old son. I rode him around between my legs with his hands on the grips since he could barely reach(just in second gear around the neighborhood with no traffic). He now has his own Magna at Texas A&M.

Howdy! I'm Cathy Smith from New York City. I just surfed in and become a member just a few minutes ago. I love bikes but I'm afraid already because I've been to accident with my friend before. I'm afraid to ride on a bike today!

Hi all,
I should have properly introduced myself a while ago.
I go by "Flash" here -- very old nick-name. Real name is Garry.

I'm 54 -- way past the mid-life issues. Had bikes many years ago but never had one when the kids were young - until recently. I couldn't resist the urge any longer even though I still have a 13 yr old daughter still at home.

I'm a professional business manager currently in the IT arena for the past 8 years. I pride myself on being the only non-geek

Love to ride -- short trips with a few friends. None of that long stuff. I was a machinest and Engineering manager in a past life so I just love learning everything i can about my scoot. This site has been great for me and I really appreciate all the help I have already received from it.

I love life...really enjoy all my great friends and like to party hardy.
Tap beer in the garage and yes... that is a stripper pole in my sig picture next to my scoot sitting in the garage.

Re:Please introduce yourselves!! - Again 9 Years, 9 Months ago
I've gone by "Heavy" for the last twelve years. I'm 58 and retired from Ford Motor Company last August. For the last ten years or so I've been running a part-time casino gaming seminar business. That's about all I do now - besides putter around with the bike. I teach dice control for casino craps, which is to craps what card counting is to blackjack. I run a couple of traditional websites - www.crapsfest.com and www.axispowercraps.com - plus an on-line discussion group similar to this one - except craps related - at http://axispower.proboards12.com. I live in East Texas - just outside of Tyler - and can frequently be found haunting the gaming tables in Shreveport/Bossier City, Tunica, Biloxi, and Las Vegas.

My first motorcycle was a fifties era Allstate 250 - direct from Sears Robuck. Actually, I got it second hand. Second bike was a 90 cc Yamaha I bought new. After that I moved to a 550 Suzuki. What did all of these bikes have in common? They all had two-cycle engines and served a dual purpose - transportation and mosquito fogging.

I purchased my Roadie a couple of months back after being bike-less for the last twenty years or so. I've been tinkering with it ever since. Pipes, a little extra chrome, one new tire, new grips, etc. I've just about done all I'm going to do to it this riding season. Will probably do a few more adds over the winter - but that's a long time away for us in Texas. Right now all I want to do is get on it and ride.

If I were designing a club jacket the logo on the back would read "No Club Needed - Have Gun and Knife."

Trailering is for wimps.

Re:Please introduce yourselves!! - Again 9 Years, 9 Months ago
Never introduced myself either.

I was born... (nah, no novels)

My name is Steve. I'm a technology advisor (software) in the publishing industry and am an owner, co-owner, or consultant of a few small businesses (I got 15 jobs ). I have a BS in Information Technology and a MBA. I'm 42, have a wonderful (and beautiful) wife of almost 21 years that I'm still in love with. We have 4 children, ranging from 20 down to 6 (depending on the day (and their attitudes), I may not like them so much )

Born and raised in Maryland and moved out here (arizona) about 11 years ago. Miss the east coast a lot.

My R* Silverado is an '04 that I bought new in May 2004 and is my first bike ever. I have about 40K miles on my bike. I ride my bike often to work. Our riding season is year long as long as you don't mind 20 in the mornings in January or 120 in July. I've been on an IBA ride once on the r* and am considering doing another. As far as I know I don't have SVS. I'm into adding lights to my bike. If you count individual LEDs I have probably around 150 though it doesn't look like it (needs more ... no seriously ). I've invested about $4K in accessories and there's $2K more I want to do .

I'm not mechanically savvy though I'm trying. Usually when I attempt to do something I break something else in the process .

Favorite things about my R*: cruising, touring, looks, customizability (now that's not a word is it), plus it makes me look cool
Least Favorite things about my R*: starting the bike in the morning (what a cold blooded beast). PLUS THAT WEAK A** STATOR/REGULATOR! Sitting in traffic (dang this bike gets hot).

If you're still awake, this biography is over.
