What Spring ? 6 Years, 7 Months ago
Looking at getting a rear spring for the R* Which one is the best Barons or LA Choppers I ride 2 up most of the time and have both bags full and sometime and extra Bag on back. I'm about #170 and the wife is pushing a big #105. I have the stock spring now which I believe is maxed out. Or can I add a spacer on the staock spring to tight,n it up some more?

Let know and thanks for the help.

you sure you have it turned all the way out? when i have my Star fully dressed with a trunk, plus my then weight of 250 and wife of 115 I was ok. It could have used a little more but it was ok. It does raise the bike slightly though.

Regardless of whether you are maxed on your stock you will love the feel of the progressive over the stock. The bike rides smoother and handles alot better and can not even compare to the stock spring.

Do you mean turned in? correct? This put more presure on the spring eh.

How much for the progressive?

Yeah you would have to tighten the nut for more preload and the progressive runs around $80 spring. Plus you could pick up another item and save on shipping since Phats has free shipping with $99 or more.
