I wish you good luck and many, many safe miles on your new scoot.

I will say that after owning my R* for almost 5 years I don't think I'd trade for a new HD if it was an even swap. Unless of course I could turn around and sell it, buy me another Roadie and pocket the extra cash.

I must be immune to the HD virus that infects so very many out there. To each their own!

I'm also 6'1" and 215lb. I do look huge, but the SG is bigger than my old 07 RS.

I like the color, and love the way they sound, when they are running that is. I've seen them stacked 5 rows deep at the local HD shop waiting to be worked on... no thanks, I like the dependability of my Roadstar

they are in there for chrome upgrades and oil changes lol...

Do you mean it feels bigger?

As for the specs, they are about the same weight. The Road star is longer in length and wheelbase and engine size.
I haven't sat on a SG as I am 6'1" and 240lbs, and I need to open up the ergonomics a little on the road star. Looking to add just a bit of "interior room" for myself.

Maybe I should try on a SG to see how they are set up with relation to the bars, floorboards and seat.

Have fun with the new ride and be safe. What you are on is just details.

Nice looking ride, Doo. Hope you enjoy many, many miles on it. If I had to buy one, that's the direction I would probably go.

i know on my roadie i felt more "spread" out vs a stock SG, but with longer floorboads and spacers to move them out a 1" each side on the SG its comfy now.
