John, that happen to a group I was president at the time ( no longer a member ). Star Touring & Riding has a three patch backpatch and that got us into some hot water when we went into a town with Banditos at a festival. I don't wear but a single back patch now, the "support our all 4 services" patch. Kai

for the record star touring and riding has a 2 patch backpatch, not 3. the large star logo (that does not say mc on it), and a lower rocker with the city and state your chapter is from.

Arkansas is a Bandito state. All MC's and ALL affilate groups have to have approval of the Banditos. They have a meeting in Little Rock once a month and All MC's and ALL affilates have to have a represenitive attend. If you have any kind of rocker with your state name or a 3 piece on your vest and you are not part of the approved groups you will be aked to remove it. Most of the time you will be asked nicely, the first time but you will remove it. One way or another. Sounds kinda silly to some, but that's the way it is around here and it's that way in most states.

remember when riding was the goal, not attitude.

Johnaton, I'm all for having a reconized patch and I would wear it proudly. I just saying we need to be careful in our intent and design. What I said in the previous post is very real and if you have the wrong "Thing" on your vest you will be asked to remove it one way or another up to and including having it taken off your cold dead body. The degree of confrontaion is usually up to the folks asking and the person being asked. It is alot more serious than most people relize. Other than that I'm in!

I believe the first "Cut" was American designed and derived, and, will always remain a cut above the rest

I'm a little worried to put it out there because I know it won't be to everyone's taste. It's derived from a design by monteirohq on deviantart.com He gave me permission to use his "crazy doctor" art any way I see fit. All modifications were done by me. So, here you go. Be gentle, guys, I have a lot of time into this.

PS - the hands are mine, turned into line art by yours truly.

Here's a vest mockup. If the rockers make people anxious, I can remove them pretty easy.

Honestly, I could probably modify the oil to be a seafoam container pretty simply.

Different.. Kinda SteamPunk.

You would need to wear these when riding.

Jonathan- make sure you know all the unwritten codes before putting a patch on your back. Make sure "MC" isn't on it. And no rockers. Just sayin'. It's easy, especially when riding in a large group in unfamiliar territory to get into 'situations' with the dominant club. And running with similar patches on your back gets more attention. This past weekend our group got stuck in the "world's longest garage sale" on US 127 in KY. They take that stuff seriously down there- garage sales that stretched for miles on both sides of the road with all the stop-and-go traffic. We turned into a tavern to cool off, parked in a long line along the building, and just me and a Bikers for Christ M/M (motorcycle ministry) member stayed outside to watch the rides. Within 5 minutes, an advance guard of Iron Horsemen MC (1%'ers) rode in. Shortly there were a dozen more. We were at their hangout parked in their parking. And they were having a benefit in an hour for a member. They were clearly irritated that we were in their parking places, and inspected each bike thoroughly. Several members of our group are Black Pistons MC members (1%) and had stickers/coozies on their bike. The Iron Horsemen are apparently affiliated with the HA. It was very tense for awhile, but Robb, my M/M fellow rider knew the Iron Horsemen (he had done some weddings and funerals for them) and smoothed things over by dropping names. We eventually got invited to stay for the benefit and help dunk strippers in the dunk tank, but we declined as we had 150 miles to go. Also declined on buying their support t-shirts but some guys did buy raffle tickets. Any attitude by any of our group, or the wrong patches on jackets would have resulted in "Get your f'ing bikes out of our spots NOW!", and these guys certainly could have backed it up. I was glad to get back on the road, and the leader just asked us to let him know the next time so they could make us their guests on our way through....

a buddy of mine used to ride in a 1%er club (but wont tell me what one) anyway i was thinking about doing a back patch and he warned me dont do any rockers at all or the "mc" he told me why and i found it pretty stupid but they take it as a challenge for turf and will in all cases have you take off the patch and you will get you arse beat. anyway kinda hard to avoid them here by me. vigilanies right by my work, devils dsiciples, outlaws, renegades, ect
