Well today was the first time I got to take my bike for real ride and it was running like shit I just got done rejecting her well she was down for paint so I pulled the carb off I was going to put the jetting all back to where it was when I get to the needle I find I didn't tighten the needle retainer no wonder she ran like shit

Old timers kicken in buddy....been there done that and it does get worse.

Don't worry it's a common and understandable thing. You just get so anxious to get out on the road that you forget things.

I've lost sooooo many tools because I left them on some part of a vehicle and then when I go looking for them I remember when I last saw them, then Damn, lost another one. Just off the top of my head I have lost

2 adjustable wrenches
2 Allen head sockets
2 5mm Allen wrenches
1 or 2 socket extensions

Took awhile to break myself of using the passenger floor boards to set tools on while tinkering.

I would end up taking her off the lift and heading out the drive while bouncing a wrench or ratchet off as I blissfully putted along.

Good to hear I'm not the only one that's done that Curt. Without that retainer about that needle was jumping up and down all over the place

I wish I could have got by with that......snap on scredrivers...sockets....rachets....you name it....
well I finally got stuff where I can see when its missing....makes a difference....
