Well Ladies and Gentlemen here is the latest and I added 2 years because of the age of this thread.

Latest Avg up to jvmbike Pg. 45

331 = People adding up to 15,806 (add 2 years/662/16,468) years.
15,806 divided by 331 == 47.75 Years Average Age of Riders. (49.75 adding an avg of 2 more years)

Oldest Riders (we have a tie) at a young 74 is LOADMASTER and OldBritGit (may you have many more years Brothers )

Youngest Rider at an old 23 is RoadHammer

Seems that alot of us went on an average hyatis of 15-25 years untill getting back in the saddle. Guess raising the kids were important to us. Most of us grew up on dirt bikes/enduros/mini bikes and graduated onto bigger and better bikes.

Like TopNotch said, was off of bikes for a few years. Now that i'am back on you will never get me off a bike again.
49 yrs old and counting

Turning 29 today, had the bike for 3 years now and still love it. Quite a few miles in the past 3 years. I rode at 18-20, and took a break until I was 24 then started buying crap bikes and rebuilding them and selling them in order to get a bike I was happy with. It would take a serious injury/illness to get me off the bike for anything more than the cold season.

Re:Age 5 Years, 7 Months ago
I rode dirt bikes from age 7-15 in California as a kid, I moved to Ohio when my mother became sick the summer I was 15. I did not ride for a 4 year period, I then purchased a Honda CBR900RR at 19, I dropped it hard coming into a turn and seperated my shoulder, thank god that was all I hurt! Stopped riding until I hit 30 years old went back to Yamaha on an R6 had it fro a few years, decided with kids it was time to slow it way down, so I purchased my V-Star 1100 chopped it up and tons of fun! Now at 40 I'm loving my Roadie!

I am 24 as of February, well below the average! I had a bike for a couple years in High School ('85 Honda cx500) and sold it after college after not driving it for a couple years. I just bought my 2nd bike (01 Roadie) and LOVE IT!

Got my first bike when I was 25, an '83 Shadow 500, loved that bike, laid it down once (high side) broke my jaw in three places. Replaced the handlebar and black taped the turn signals back on and rode it for another year when I traded it for a car. Jump forward 20 years to last August when I got my next bike, an '83 Yami XJ650 Maxim and spent the next several months relearning to ride, took the ABATE basic course last October, then bought my Roadie this last February and have been enjoying the heck out of it. My wife now has her permit and is putting some mileage on the Maxim. Might get her a V-star next spring so we can bring two bikes to Green Bay next year.

Oh, and for the record, I'm currently 46.

Re:Age 5 Years, 7 Months ago
I just turned 52 a month ago, I hadn't road since 1992. I always had to have the fastest thing out there, not that I was a corner bender, buy I do like the speed. Early 90's I had a 5.5 sec. big tired Kawasaki drag bike, it put out 342 hp on Star Racings dino.

Last Christmas my bro-in-law, told me he wanted to sell his roadie, I was just home for a few days after being out of the country for 45 days and had to go back after the New Year. Well I got home the first of march and gave him a call, he said he would take 3K for every thing he had motorcycle wise, so I bought it. My wife is still not happy with me, especially when I remind her that I am well insured. He response has always been, that I better make sure that thing kills me if some thing was to happen because if it doesn't she said she would and would wind up in jail. I then ask, who is going to take care of the kids if you do that?

I can invision alot of things that I would like to do to the Roadie, but selling it isn't one of them.

been riding since i was 4 yrs old,now 38 yrs old. ridden kaws, zukes, yams, honda,hd. i've had many different bikes so i can't bash anyone (i am guilty of picking at people though ) )for what they choose to ride. I'm just happy we have a wide variety to choose from. as a kid i loved my dirtbikes.as a teenager & very young adult while living carelessly, i loved my crotch rockets. in my mid 20's while trying to impress the ladies and buddies, i loved my hd. in my 30's while simply being myself, appreciating & enjoying life , i love my yam RS.
