This is what I did . Hope this helps someone installing a Reckless Fairing . The only thing that gave me a PIAN IN THE ASS was the first CRAPPY switches I bought that ended up in the back of the garage somewhere

The Stereo and Speakers ROCK LOUD without an amp .
First thing was to take apart inner and outer and mount inner fairing to bike . I did not change out my risers and it fits great . I mounted the plates that come with it with curve of mount at top toward front of bike . When you see them you will understand what I am saying . I bolted them to bike with front bottom two holes . Made sure everything bolted up right and then I removed it . The reason being I was going to drill holes . Did not want fiberglass all over bike . I used a blanket to lay the fairing on . First thing was to check if stereo would fit in the cut out . I used the metal sleeve that came with stereo to check clearance . Just a little to small so I took dremel tool with barrel sander and carefully sanded to fit . Next I took splash guard and placed metal sleeve inside it ( by the way it fits perfect inside the splash guard with a lip in it to hold sleeve and stereo outer ring fits too ) placed inside cut out and drilled holes for screws . Did not attach yet . While I had splash guard in place I marked and drilled two holes , one for each rocker switch . I used one for my running lights and one for stereo . I used 3/4 " holes to match switches . ( Make sure if you buy switches that they have long enough threads on back to clear thickness of fairing ) I used one on each side of splash guard at top to the side . Did not attach them . Next I took out one speaker for drilling marker . I put plastic wrap over top of speaker to keep out any trash while I drilled holes . I then drilled a hole for trailer plug up front to side leaving enough room for stereo . I drilled hole on right side that way the wires will hide a little better when i park bike and bars turn to left side . All holes drilled except one . Took fairing outside and blew off with air hose and then wiped down . Next I attached Splash guard and slid metal sleeve in , bending metal tabs behind fairing for support . The stereo I used is not deep at all about 4 or 5 " deep . Placed stereo in sleeve . I then took a piece of 2x4 ( cant remember how long ) wedged it long ways under stereo and drilled hole on end toward headlight through fairing and used stainless bolt to tighten down . Cant see bolt because its above headlight under fairing . This will come in handy later and it makes the stereo rock solid although i did place a small rubber piece between stereo and board . Next i mounted speakers and rocker switches . With everything drilled and mounted i reinstalled fairing on bike . Now for wiring . I removed seat and gas tank . I took trailer wiring plug and measured long end leaving enough slack for when i turned handle bars . Then i heat shrink wrapped both ends leaving enough wire exposed to spread apart for connections . I placed short end through hole in fairing and also used a rubber grommet to keep wire from rubbing against fiberglass . The long end i ran through with other wiring along frame back to battery . Use white wire for grounding . It is marked that way also . I used big bolt that's behind tool pouch area that holds rear fender for a ground . I used green wire to tap into blue wire that you can find in the same area that feeds POWER to lights when KEY IS ON . This is the wire i used to power my passing lights .That way if i forget to turn the switch off the power will still be cut off . The other two wires i spliced together making only one connector for positive side of battery . DO NOT HOOK TO BATTRY YET ! I tested things as i went along but unhooked each time so i wouldn't blow anything up . Next i went to front of fairing and wired my passing lights . I used one of the sets of fog light harness for this . The reason i bought those is that they have the relay , an inline fuse and also gives you all the wire you will need for connections . They have a toggle switch but i didn't use them . Too big and ugly I mounted the Barrier strip ( love it for all the connections available ) on the 2x4 . The power wire too my passing lights is a seperate wire ran through the rubber grommet that i put waterproof connectors on so i could disconnect if i take off fairing . I used the below diagram for wiring . Next i wired stereo with diagram with a switch so i could listen to stereo when bike is off . I used the Postive brown wire for constant power to radio to keep presets set . I know this is a constant drain on the battery but not enough to hurt if you ride a lot and if i am not going to ride for along time I can simply unplug wire harness and NO MORE DRAIN . Just have to reset radio . Then all that was left was to run speaker wire and wiring was complete . I then connected antenna Which by the way picks up GREAT ! even in my garage where my home stereo has to have a wire run outside to pick up anything . I ran the antenna around outer edges of fairing and put Gorilla tape in different area's . Replaced outer fairing and cranked it up for at least and hour ! I will take pictures this evening because i took a few last night but after several VICTORY BEERS they came out blurry
Man this stereo ROCKS !!! It goes to 50 but at 25 the wife came down stairs and said turn it down i cant hear on the phone After adjusting all the settings it is 100 times louder and clearer that my poor Shark system . Let the Good Times Roll !!!!!!
