You can get one at any HD dealer or small independent shop even if they have to order it you won't have to pay shipping. If you go to a HD dealer or small shop just tell them it is for an HSR42 carb. If you tell them it is for a Yamaha it will just confuse them and they will say they don't have it to fit a Yamaha.
I've actually been doing real good with my Yamaha dealer lately. If you order parts from their online system they are 15% off, then I pick them up in person and there isn't any shipping charges.
I think Yamaha is surprising good for the little screws and parts that you think they would really nail you on.(the small parts are where everyone screws you on the shipping too) And they get the parts in 2 days max. I just got jets from them for $4, no complaints there.

Jeff did you try Road Rider on Monterey
I called them a couple weeks ago before I ordered the jets online, and they don't have them anymore.
Was kinda surprised.

That's the local "multi-brand" shop I was talking about earlier.
I went down there and looked through the jets they had.
Largest was a 160.
I just called the local HD shop, and asked if they had jets for the HSR 42, and this was the guys response:
"We have to order those. We only have jets for Harley CV carbs...."
Gave me the impression he doesn't think the HSR is a "harley" carb.

I just used the only 167.5 I had about a month ago in a buddys bike. I need to stock a couple more. I was suprised the first time I asked my local yami dealer to order a jet, he brought out his ' box o jets' and told me to find what i need @ 2.69 apiece.

Bring the jet you have in hand to the HD dealer and match it up with what he has it may just be the same as his" HD CV carb" or do the same at the shop Jay was talking about. Just about every place I have been to buy jets have a box full of loose jets that they have no idea what all they fit in. Matching the threads is about the best way to go in that situation. Also if you bring yours to match the threads remember that there are actually 2 different head sizes and both will work. One is a large head and the other is a lot smaller diameter head.
