I think a loop would be great if everyone is up for it.

A loop sounds good to me also.

What about which weekend, has that been finalized yet? I'm all for warmer. Warmer nights for camping.

I can try to route out a longer loop, (longer than an hour, ), if you guys would like. As far as when, I'm cool with when ever you guys want to do this. Like I said earlier, we're riding 49 on the 1st weekend of May either way, and can met up with ya'll any of the other 51 weekends that are left also, lol, so it's kinda up to you guys. And we still need to hammer out the location too. My vote for that is Jamestown.......

I'm up for anything, just let me know when. It's just going to be nice meeting some other RSC riders.

Man, how did I miss this thread?

That's what I get for being MIA for a while.

I'm subscribed now, so count me in.

I have family up in that area, so I spent a lot of summers up that way.

Re:Ride to Jamestown 2 Years, 10 Months ago
I was just up there last weekend and it was absolutely beautiful! The hills were green, lots of flowers blooming, lots of recently repaved roller coaster like roads!

But sadly it was in a car... still nice though. Went from Murphy's to Columbia to Jamestown. Great ride, something to consider, maybe for day two? Columbia would be a good stop after breakfast to walk through, then lunch in Muryph's before heading back? Just throwing that out there.

BTW, the Royal Carriage Inn, which is an old historical hotel in Jamestown that more resembles a B&B, had rooms for only $50 a night. Although I think the prices have gone up to $70, which still isn't bad. Pretty amazing actually, considering how nice it is. That said... It *very* haunted... Or so they say.

Funny you should mention that...... this is the ride/loop we did a few weeks ago and are going to do again tomorrow. I was so impressed with Murphys, I almost think we should make that the meeting place and go from there. Awesome little biker friendly town with quite a few restaurants too.

How do you guys rename links so they are smaller?

In the case of Google Maps, you can just click on the gear [settings] at the bottom right of the map and chose, "share / embed link" then click on the "short URL" box...

This is what it gave me: https://goo.gl/maps/qzOcP

The other is to rename the URL by using the RSC site tool... Type what you want it to say, e.g. Ride Map then highlight the text "Ride Map" and click the URL button. It will put the text in between brackets with URL and /URL. Just put your cursor in between URL and the closed bracket ] Type equals *=* and paste the link. It shows you what it should look like in the yellow example box below the tools when you're writing your post.
