Ever watch Bike Build Off on Discovery? 6 Years, 6 Months ago
A guy built a sweet orange colored chopper on the show I watched this past weekend, but that wasn't the cool thing. What was so neat was the rear wheel drive. It was a black box that the drive belt connected to. It had a spring loaded black rubber roller on the other side. That roller sat against the wheel and turned the rear wheel. The (huge) rear wheel was so clean. No drive wheel, one side connection to the swing arm. Very cool.
Here's the episode:
Forward up to 29:15 for an explanation and exploded view of the drive

With the ammount of rocks that stick to my tire when I come off the highway I cant see it working to well chewing rocks etc.. Pretty much for trailer queens.

+1 on that. I think that most of those bikes that come from those shows are for the trailer queen crowd, but they are pretty neat.

Years ago Cox made a little gas motor that would bolt to the front forks of your bicycle. It had a plastic roller that would engage the front tire and you would fly down the street at 25mph! The Idea is not new. You could order one off of comic books or get one by selling Grit newspapers!!
