HSR 42 4 Years, 7 Months ago
Hi Everyone, want to start out by saying thanks to the clinic for all the great info on this great MC. Guys like Curt, Erbman02, jd750ace, Shane from SSCC and the rest of you. Without the knowledge obtained from the RSC I would not have been able to bring out the Beast in my RS.
I finally got my HSR 42 with the yost tube tuned without getting it on a dyno,(will be taking it to a dyno in the next few weeks, results will be posted).
My jetting with Mikuni jets only is as follows:
Needle #97 clip on 3rd from blunt end, 22.5 pilot jet, 167.5 main jet, air screw 1.0 turns out.
Running an air kit from SSCC, 2-1-2 Mega cone speed star exhaust, (the rest can be seen on my profile).
Unbelievable throttle response and power. Didn't want to get off my RS today, even road through a torrential down pour, my RS pushed through like it was a perfect sunny day. Enjoyed riding my RS before the mods, now I just want to keep going!
Thanks again for all the great information on the RSC.
Keep it rolling!
Semper Fi!

Sounds great and I love my HSR42!!!! If it ever gets to feeling to lean you may want to jump your pilot jet up to #25 because 25 usually runs better on the 1700's. A lot of the 1600's run the 22.5 pilot. If its rock n on good for you then leave it right there!

Welcome to the HSR club!!!

Thanks, we'll see what the dyno comes up with. I'll post the results when I get it done.

It's going to be at least a couple of weeks, have to get it in when I'm not working and when they can get me in. They are really busy. I will post the results as soon as I get it done!
