the old cracked it on a curb story, cracked with an oil filter wrench, more likely fell out of a Uhaul truck .

Lots of if's with this bike. IF one could find a strat with a good frame and trashed motor, it would definitely be worth the money. OR one could go the complete custom route and get a custom frame. I would not trust a welded frame even though it would probably work fine.

I'm still trying to figure out how you crack a frame that badly just "putting her on a U-Haul" They aren't that high off the ground, there is no rash in the pictures to indicate that it fell off on the highway, I have watched friends drop bikes out of their pickup trucks and still didn't crack a frame that badly. Those are impact fractures from what I can tell.

Maybe that guy on eBay with the hideous bike I posted yesterday would like to make this his new project!

1900 engine swap!

C'mon, someone here has to be up for stuffing that motor and trans into our frame and calling it a Stratostar. Even the site says you CAN do it.

Seeing the frame hurts my soul.

It IS titled in CT . I wonder if he has an actual Salvage title, or if he's just declaring it a loss, because I would definitely have that welded, reinforced, and aligned.

Pos. A bike is not like a ladder if it is cracked in one place it's probably hairline cracked im another unless you get this POS for like 1500 bucks it's just another major project aluminum is not forgiving Flexsteel like steel

I kinda followed his story on FB. Apparently, there are a couple types of trailer you can get at Uhaul. With Strat already sitting kinda low, he just hit the wrong spot on the bottom of the bike.
