We had about 25 members at the 2017 Meet and Greet this year, and everyone had a GREAT time.
Everyone that attended is glad they did, as confirmed by the fact that all attendees have already rebooked for next year.
25 is a good number for any M&G, but Celina set the bar high pushing 100 a few years ago. While we don't expect to see this number again, we do need to try to understand why the numbers have dropped so we can make some adjustments.
So please reply here and post why you missed this or another Celina M&G.
I know some people have explained their reason earlier in the forum as to why they dropped out this year, and some reasons are very obvious (vacation conflict, work conflict, bike problem, weather, rode a 1000 miles to meet everyone once, don't need to do it again, etc.,) but please post the reason again here to help us have one thread to track.
If you want to throw out what you liked or did not like about the past M&G you can throw that out here too. We have a year to plan, although you can never make everyone happy.
(Some want a long ride for part of the event, many others figure they have a long ride to and from, and want to hang with the other members.)
I ran out of gas! I got a flat tire! I didn’t have change for cab fare! I lost my tux at the cleaners! I locked my keys in the car! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!

I never attended and don't plan on it due to the distance, but if you don't mind me giving my opinion on annual events.....everything runs its course and peters out. I know I would not go the the same place year after year, even if the riders changed. I like variety every couple years. So....maybe you need a different location for several years. Maybe rotate between three or so places.

Thanks for responses.
As for petering out, again we appreciate the response, but I do not agree.
If everything lines up correctly, the even should grow every year rather than petering out. Instead of people figuring they went last year and do not need to go again, people figure they missed last year an need to be there this year.
(ever hear of a little place named Sturgis... )
Thanks

It has always been hard for me to get my choice of vacation in the summer. I am retiring in August so I'm really going to try next year.

Since Roadstars aren't being made any more I would assume there will be fewer riders as the years go by. I'd also be curious to know if the level of individual member traffic on this site has changed over the years and if so what are the numbers. Any administrators know if traffic is tracked? Membership?

The bike not being made any more should really not matter. Our group is a little different, we're basically cheap. It reminds me of my past boating world days, a fiberglass hull and a diesel will always be there. How many RoadStar owners do you think we lost due to bike being worn out?
The forum numbers are simple, look at the bottom of the page. 66 members, 14 guests and 3 staff.
I've heard more and more from the FB people about issues with joining the Clinic site, but sliding right in to the FB page, something that needs to be looked at..

Those numbers at the bottom of the page are just for the number of persons logged on at the exact time you have the page open. Refresh the page throughout the day and see them change. My interest is total numbers registered and number of unique member hits per day, month, etc.

Didnt make it last year because i sliced my leg to the bone a few days before
The
But other than that i have been to all the celina meet and greets. I myself would like to see more riding. I like to talk to everyone but i don't think we were riding more than 1.5 hours on saturday and with nothing but blue skies that was a bummer. I would like to see a bit more.
Also im not a fan of stopping at bars along the way. Its not a good idea to booze and cruise as is but then you mix so many people that do not ride together on a regular basis on top of it.
I do enjoy the other stops like the museums however.

We remedied the riding situation by taking off again after lunch and running around with a few Eagle Riders. Checked out the Canal boat and Loch in St. Marys and Bloody Bridge. Rode some Twisties and got back about 10 minutes before dinner.
I agree with your thinking on the bar stops. Preston and I stood off to the side and talked about the very same thing while we were there.
I mentioned to JJ that multiple guys always want to take off on Friday to go see the Air Force museum but many don't get in with enough time to do so and suggested that as maybe a Saturday event. We also talked about maybe having two different rides, at the same time. For the guys who don't want option A, they can go on option B. They would still both be led by the Eagle Riders. Might be an idea to give more options
