This thing moves real good. Put another bunch of miles on today with the wife. Transmission is clunky as hell. Really doesn't affect too much once you get up to speed because you never need to downshift to pass or anything

Also, linked brakes suck and I hate them.

There, it's not all good but it's mostly good

Passenger backrest is fairly useless because it's too low. Need to investigate a higher one. Also, passenger foot pegs are too low/far away for my passenger. So, will probably end up modifying that soon.

Stupid thing doesn't Bluetooth (really, this thing was made in 2015 ) but it does have a USB port and I'm pretty sure they make something that plugs into the USB thing that makes it Bluetooth capable. Gonna have to get one of those too.

So, highway pegs, couple of backrest changes/add ons, some handlebar mounts for phone and gps, and some minor stereo add ons will round this thing out nicely.

Really, I'm surprised these things don't come with a nicer stereo system with a touchscreen infotainment type thing. I'm sure they'll come out with one now that I own the old one

You can get a Bluetooth thing that plugs into your Aux plug on ebay or Amazon

Thanks Preston. That's on my short list for sure. Need a 12v outlet somewhere up front also. Hard to believe there isn't one of those either.

Wingstuff.com you can order the 12v for it I believe (mine had a plug for it just no 12v receptacles) also I have seen pucks you can put under your foot pegs to save your pegs

I use the coolstream to blue tooth my phone through my Vic's usb. I would assume the same type adapter would work for you. Mine works great.

Congrats Kyle on your new wheels!

Kuryakyn makes a ISO grip that fits over your heated grips. I had to save down my Vic heated grips to make it work on mine, but isn't necessary on yours.
Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/Kuryakyn-ISO-Grips-GL1800-Goldwing-6183/dp/B0049IZLEO
They are quite a bit larger and probably should fit your hands better.

I do have an oversized paw

I was just looking at those today actually. Some of them with a throttle boss would help a lot. Reviews on installing them were fairly negative though. Maybe it's just guys who can't figure things out. Not sure. Might be worth a try. I'm sure the numbness will get better when it gets warmer also, but I ride in the cold a lot so I'd like to figure something out.

They WERE somewhat of a pain to install over my heated grips, but that wasn't what they were designed for! The grips have a rubber "sleeve" to slide over the existing grip and the 2 piece clam-shell style metal that snaps and bolts together. On my installation, it was easier to split the rubber "sleeve" on the part line and place each half in it's respective portion of the grip. I don't know if that might help on a Goldwing, but the edges of the rubber are covered by the metal part of the grips. I'm certain that with your ability, you wouldn't have much difficulty getting them set up!
I also purchased the throttle boss and absolutely love it. It works great and is very adjustable to match up to your wrist position. I'm even thinking about getting the one for the left side grip to rest the heel of my hand and give me more options riding along.

*One word of caution: make sure to get the proper part number for the throttle boss. Not sure what the differences are, but apparently not all throttle bosses fit correctly. Grips and throttle boss are also available in black if that trips you trigger!

Good luck...

Congratulations on your new Honda F6B. Popular it seems. Nice ride. Great deal on your RS.
To far for me to go and 35% exchange cost. You had me thinking.

Another member of the "Couch Rocket Club". As much as I like my Road Star, it is hard not to love less vibration on a long trip.
