But so looking forward to this trip!! Toby and I cheat.. we pack a queen sized air mattress, inverter and pump it surprisingly takes up very little space for the amount of comfort it gives. Half of our gear goes on his bike, my bike carries the rest. We pack a little bit more for the longer trips (a week or longer) but generally we contain everything in the trunks, side bags, and 2 duffel bags. I remember when we were just on 1 bike, the sleeping system was always difficult to do comfortably, without spending a LOT of money... Google says 3 hrs. 16 min. Consider time to get through customs and rush hour traffic for a short stretch south of Olympia to Hwy 12 starting about 3:00. I would think you would have no problem. You're gonna love the ride along the west side of Hood Canal.
