By the way how small is your passenger. Is that a baby seat???

Haha yeah the driver backrest takes up most of the passenger area lol I don't even have it on at the moment

Couple Harley's we test drove and my wife hated how small they were compared to the Roadstar. So, went a different route obviously. I liked them when they were all souped up with cams and everything but was pretty disappointed with a stock 2015-16 steeet glide performance wise.

Not sure about the passenger aspect but I feel like I have more room on the Electra glide than i did on my road star. My legs don't feel as cramped. But the handle bars are a little closer

Kona, do you think you'll keep your R*? I wouldn't mind finding one like Father_Po did for that price and use it for a solo second bike.. fully dress the R* and keep it decked for rides with passengers and long trips. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open.

I have actually been without a roadstar for a while now. I was looking for a new one when this deal came across my lap.

That's right I think I remember you saying you were without your R* now in another post.

Enjoy your new ride.

Let us know if you keep it and trick that motor out, or sell it to buy another Roadstar.

Congrats on the new ride.
I don't know how much of the history of the bike you know. If the cam chain tensioners haven't been changed or checked lately it needs to be done. You have to remove the cam cover, and then you can use a small dental mirror to check them. There is one on the inside, and outside of the cam plate.
I'm pretty sure that 2003 has the Delphi EFI system (changed in 01 I think) this is a much better system than the older Margetti Marrelli EFI system that they used.
That's a good looking bike that you got, and for a great price too.
If you want to get rid of those looking covers on the crash bars, I would be willing to take them for you. Just to get them out of your way of course
