Flip and grind is free and lowers the bike about 2", The ED standard seat will lower you about another 1" but they are also about $350 (if I remember right) but they are also the best seat you can buy for your bike.

I'm 5' 10" @ 178# with a 32" inseam and I don't have any clearance issues, but my seat is a Saddlemen Renegade gel seat.
Comfortable & really low right in the center. So low that the back of the rider seat comes all the way to the top of my tailbones.
I can also stand over it at stop lights & completely stand clear of the pipes & seat.
My bike's not lowered or anything so I'm sure it's all seat making it this way.
You can find used Renegades on eBay pretty frequently.
I paid $100 for mine, worth it all day long.
I've had a couple shorter friends try it for size and they all liked it a lot.

Im using a (Daytripper )type seat don’t know the make it was there when I got it. Do the flip and grind its easy and drops you about 2 inches. Ride the bike in some parking lots and really throw it around a bit to get use to it Im 5ft 5in 150lb inseam of 28 so im small. Had my bike since 2010 wouldnt trade it for the world but I am looking to add a 2017 Vulcan 1700 Vaquero real soon.

He used to be a member here... Haven't seen a post from him in some time
Sent him an email inquiry. That may help solve one or two things and allow me to start bobbing the bike and save the point of no return till later.
He does really nice work. Did you look at his website?
Yeah, already had a couple emails back and forth. Probably going this route I think.

JDS, are you comfortable with the placement and angle of your floor-boards?
I'm short, I needed to build brackets to raise and move the boards back.
Up 3/4" and back be 2".
The shift lever has to be cut and lengthened to accommodate the board relocation.
Made the seating position way more comfortable.
Inseam 30"
