You did a GREAT job on that Grant I was wondering when you pinched down the 2into1 from 2" to 1 3/4" if you have noticed any difference in low end torque?? It would be interesting if it turned out to be a performance mod as well

Thanks Rod, yea I definitely thought about that before I did it. It was actually like 1 7/8" vs 1 3/4 lol so it was pretty close is size. I definitely feel like performance has improved with the new pipe. Much less popping like I was getting with the cobra pipe and seems to pull hard. Definitely sounds better imho and absolutly looks better for sure!

Awesome Grant.. How are you supporting the weight of the pipe?? You mentioned something like the L Bracket?? Do you have pictures? I'm going to attempt this this winter. I Just wonder what a fishtail tip would look like and sound on it?? I thought it may look cool for my setup. Thanks for the PM's on the information.

No problem Shane. Well this is just a temporary fix just didn't have time to make another bracket. I had this one laying around at the house I just had to drill one hole and it was on in 5 minutes. Its definitely strong just ugly as hell imho lol. To tell you the truth, nobody has noticed it yet and if I painted it black it would really blend in but I just think its ugly so I'm gonna rotate the pipe 90 degrees so that the mounting is facing up and do something else maybe over there weekend. Possible a flat L bracket mounted in the same place just catching the mounts up instead of to the side and that way I can use both mounting points on the pipe.

That is a nice job. I had a similar idea after installing a V&H ProPipe that was way too loud for my tastes. After messing around with attempting to modify the baffle I took one of the pipes my nephew had left over when he upgraded his Street Glide mufflers. I kept the 2" outlet on the Y and cut off the tip of the muffler and drilled out the baffle. I picked up a 2" exhaust pipe from a muffler shop and drilled holes in it all the way down the pipe, welded it in and installed the chrome cover from the original muffler. I ended up extending the support bar to the rear to support the muffler. I originally welded a disk about 1/3 down the pipe because I wasn't sure how loud the pipe would be. Now after several highway runs I have it drilled out 1" and that seems to be the sweet spot. Some exhaust is diverted into the muffler space, then out the holes in the rear of the pipe and the rest goes straight out the back. I'm interested in how you managed to get the chrome cover over the marriage line on the muffler.

Looks great! I kept the Y pipe at 1.75" width so the harley muffler slipped right on and the heat shield went over it and clamped down.

Hey Grant, love what you did, looks great. That bracket looks familiar, a bi-fold door bracket?
