Advice needed :) 5 Years ago
Ok. So, I was browsing around endlessly multiple hundreds of sites on e-bay for different mods. Can you say right awake at 3am ??? . I plan on traveling a little more, and further distances this summer, and naturally, I will need a little more room to pack some things. I know I want a luggage rack, and I have one in mind already. However, I am not sure about what kind of sissy bar would look good on my bike. I know, I know, it's my bike, but maybe there are some things that work and look better than others. I just don't know how a padded sissy bar would look like with just a fender bib, and no passenger seat ? But then again, do I need a padded one? How would a tall backrest upright look? Oh, decisions decisions . HELP!!!!

Are you adverse to the idea of a back pack? Maybe just a fender bag that would sit on the bib?

This would lay across your saddlebags and bungy cord to the bike. Just something to ponder.

I found that a nice stuff bag bungeed to the pass seat, along with the saddle bags, allows me to bring everything I'll need. You can use a pass seat with suction cups or a folded towel underneath to protect the fender.

When packing, you have to think "Do I really need that pair of red spike heals?".
Never mind. Yeah, you need them. Get the sissy bar and a t-bag.

Well, do'h. Why haven't I thought of that . That now makes total sense, saves me some money (that I can spend on something else) and probably doesn't look too dorky either. Yes, I do want to retain some coolness factor . And yes, fireman, those extra spike heels must go

If you decide you want a sissybar, the kuryakyn raptor bar looks cool even without a pad.

Most trips I just bring a backpack. For Sturgis it's a backpack and a duffel, you save a lot of room when you don't wear bloomers

What did you have in mind already?

Not sure if they make a fender rack that goes where the fender bib is. A backrest can be installed for one of the bags that goes over them. The pad could always be left off since there is no passenger seat. The backrest could always be removed fairly easy when you are not making longer trips.

Edit: Attach a sidecar, tons of room for luggage. The whole area behind the seat is a huge trunk. Problem solved!
