PMS a PITA to get to 4 Years, 9 Months ago
I put the new intake on and now I can't hit the PMS without taking the intake off, which makes adjustment a real hassle. I remembered someone making an extender of some sorts for it. Does it attach to the screw to extend it, or does it replace it entirely?

SKWEARpeg has one. He should be along any minute now.

Some others, as I recall, have made an extension. I haven't done either. I use a mirror and a screw driver.

I soldered and old clutch cable to the screw. You need one with the lead stop on one side as it wil solder. Then I soldered a brass fitting on the other side I cold grip. That way I could tune around my hypercharger.

All's good if you use a Barons screw.

Oops, wrong person. Right subject. LOL

I just used the Barons screw, but I still have to remove the air box.
There's a Tech Article, that has something shown like what Dave did, where they soldered a piece to the end of the PMS. I don't mess with mine that much. I usually just keep track of what I need to do, and then turn it 1/4 turn in the direction I think it needs to go when I get around to it. I think I've adjusted mine twice in the last year. Once to turn it in last summer, and once to turn it out because it was popping slightly in the cooler weather. This way I'm not burning my pinkies, fiddling with it when it's hot.
My solo bike, just has the regular PMS, and I can adjust it with a screwdriver after removing the Airbox.
Both of mine are within a 1/4 turn of 2 1/2 right now.

Got the Baron's screw and put a small piece of hose on it with a mark on the outside when it's adjusted to zero turns. Hangs down far enough to see and easy to get at. No issues yet.

If its the stock carb barrons makes a replacement screw. I still ended up sliping a 3" piece of 5/16" fuel line on the end after that so it stuck out past the bottom of the carb bowl.
