Goldwing value? 6 Months, 1 Week ago
This guy in interested in trading this Goldwing pkg for a rv that I have listed at $12,500. I would just resell this but don't have a clue if it is a good deal and if it would be easier to sell than a rv?

Kelly Blue Book has the bike valued at $8k. I don't know about the sidecar and trailer though and I would imagine that it would be more difficult to sell that bike package and selling an RV.

That's a pretty trippy looking setup! My first thought was 'WHY??!!'. That thing takes up a lot of road. The bike and trailer might be a good choice however.

Seems like the bike and trailer, sans the sidecar, would be easier to cash out than the RV. Gas price concerns affect RV values and sales. The bike appeals to a narrower market of people but should move well at the RIGHT price. I'd sell the sidecar separately on something like eBay. Seems like the RV would bring more $$ in the end, depending on what it is.

Then again we'll trade you 12,000+ brand new women's belts for your RV if you're just interested in changing things up. An RV would be fun to have...

It is just novel enough that someone will want and buy it. But how quickly will you find that person.

As far as that setup, wow. I wouldn't feel safe with that much crap attached to my motorcycle. It hardly seems like motorcycle riding.

I think I saw that same setup on a carrassel at the fair last year.

Cash buyer looking at RV this weekend so might not be an issue. I would like to ride the wing to see what they are all about but not with the side car or trailer.

My RS has been down for 3 months waiting for new tires but got those on so riding into Vegas today with the VFW bike riders group to a Harley dealership that is having food, drawings, and bikini bike washers to watch. Bike was idling a little rough so I put in some seafoam and ran the piss out of it over to Ca. to get some Powerball lottery tickets, she runs great now.

It says the sidecar has air conditioning. I'm curious as to how he did that. Maybe adapted a couple of the thermoelectric seat cooler assemblies like my car has. How cold they get depends on the surrounding temperature but they can make things pretty comfortable.

There are always RV buyers looking to get into something in the $12k range.
The bike setup looks nice but would be a VERY "Niche Market" item.
You could probably sell it for that much again if you don't use it as-is.
However, I'd think finding the right buyer could take so long that the rig would depreciate.

That Wing with the trailer would be awesome for long trips. Wouldn't want the sidecar at all. Would be nice if you wanted it for trips and got rid of your Roadstar and RV at the same time but I wouldn't be into trading something just to sell it. You have no idea what's going on with his set up. You know what's going on with your RV because you've owned it.

Wing with a trailer would be awesome. I wouldn't trade because of the forementioned issue though.

Yeah we've gone over to a few of the Henderson Harley events. They always post on Facebook so I get the updates and invites. Forgot all about that event today!

You know that's not a bad idea about keeping the Wing for yourself and unloading the RV and Roadie, no disrespect to the Roadie, because you'd have some options for riding with just the bike, bike and trailer, bike and sidecar, and the whole enchilada. Might be nice to have all those options (or sell the sidecar for even more cash).

Seems like something someone did to include the whole family on long rides. Good effort regardless. I think if it was just the bike and sidecar it would be received better, or bike and trailer, but the whole shebang is just one of those WTF scenarios.

I think I might like that combo. I'd toss the dog in the sidecar for extended out of town runs LOL.
