When I think "Tire Knowledge", I think JD....... 7 Months ago
I was just going to PM JD about this but thought, hey..... maybe other people would like to hear about this or have their own take on it, so here it is.....

I needed a rear tire FAST so I could make sure at least 1 of my bikes was up and running for the Hollister Rally a few weeks ago, and the only tire I could get right now was not the mate for my Metzler 888 front tire. I ended up getting my other bike back on time to take that one and decided to swap out the brand new Dunlop with the proper 888 to match my front. Long story short, (too late), I now have the Dunlop sitting in my shop for another day and need to know the best way to store it for about a year. If it was still wrapped in Saran Wrap with the cardboard inserts inside the tire, I would just put upstairs in the spare bedroom closet and wait till I need it. But this has been mounted and unmounted, so I don't know if there is some other way to store this thing or not. Just curious.......

Put it in a dark trash bag, keep it stood up, and keep it as dark and cool as practical, anything under 78 is good. Should be away from any ozone source such as fluorescent lights or electric motors, but a .9 mil trash bag eliminates most permeation.
