WARNING: Kuryakyn RTB controller from J&P; Cycles 10 Years, 9 Months ago
There is an error on the J&P Cycles website & in the print catalog regarding the Kuryakyn plug n play RTB Controller. J&P is listing only one part # for 99-06 Roadstars. This is incorrect. There are two different controllers and the plugs are not interchangeable.

The correct Kuryakyn # for 99-03 R* is 4613
For the 04-up the Kury part is #4612

I only know all of this because my package came today--and doesn't work with my 01 Roadie. I've always had good luck with J&P and when I called them about the problem, they looked it up, acknowledged their error and are shipping me the correct part.

have a safe holiday weekend.

I can positively confirm the #4612 on O7' Road* as I just got done installing one about 10 minutes ago.

#4612 comes with one load equalizer. This makes the turn-signals flash a bit fast...too much for my taste. So you will need an additional load equalizer to restore the blink rate to normal.

I also purchased the red replacement bulbs from Kury...

The whole thing took 10 minutes....

I have been running their Triple Whammy for four years now on my 2008 with no problems. DK the part number.

Actually the problem with these is the opposite of a fuse blowing, there is not any protection on them. If you have a pinched wire/short on our normal circuits you will blow a fuse.

If you have an short downstream from one of these the RTB blows, there is not any protection in them.
