Got the bike out and running finally 3 Years, 6 Months ago
Wanted to just post something here for several of the members who got involved with my 1.5 month long mess. I took everyone's advice and dumped the fuel pump. After spending an hour and a half venting the cap and switching to the Grizzly jet my bike starts and runs better than ever. I wanted to post this pic of the fuel line and also wanted to show the mounting I also did at the same time for a Kuryakn oil breather I have had on the shelf for three years and never had time or everything off the bike long enough to mount.

The breather is one used for Harleys and I mounted it using a bracket made from aluminum bar stock. Bent it and mounted to the factory fuel pump mounting holes. I think it looks pretty seamless to the bike and from a distance is not really noticeable. It works great and so does the pump-less conversion. I should have done this a long time ago. If anyone is thinking about the conversion stop thinking and just do it.

Good to hear!

Maybe that fuel pump episode worked out for the best?

You can make a bracket to mount it where the old pump bracket mounted. Make one to mount on the rear tank bolt on the left side. Buy a Yamaha mount for the rear tank bolt, 4TR-2637G-00

When I ditched the pump, I took some flat strap, bent it, drilled holes to mount where pump bracket went, drilled and slotted hole for cable. Now it sits close up under tank, and if you don't know it is there you would not even notice it

Mine was relocated to the seat post bolt when the previous owner relocated the pump. It uses the bracket that yami sells I think.

I have the needle valve on order, should be here shortly. Guess I'll get the bracket too. Once I have them I know I'll be asking some more questions about somethings I half remember reading on an old post about spacers and moving some clip. Later and thanks for the information.
