Ok, so I'm not the sharpest crayon... 4 Years, 1 Month ago
I know this question is ignorance at it's finest.... (and yes, I went ahead and just pulled my pants down around my ankles so that I'd could be ready for all the laughing

Can somebody tell me why the R* engine has 4 spark plugs? with only two cylinders? and how does that work?

and no, I've never rebuilt an engine, carburetor ... etc. but every engine I've ever really payed any attention to, has always had 1 spark plug per cylinder...

4 plugs are there so each plug wire has its own spark plug. If not then two wires would just be hanging there with no Sparky Sparky.

Just remember that whole thing about there is no such thing as a dumb question. It's the answers you have to watch out for. Can't wait to see where this thread goes. I already LMAO on the first answer you got. It did kinda make sense

Pull your pants up! That's a legitimate question.

Just don't ask Lifeguard, davej, or Warden.

.....or me for that matter. All I know is each cylinder has 2 spark plugs, and I like riding motorcycles, and roadstars are awesome to ride.

If you use the cut off switch, starter button, and clutch in the proper order, the flux capacitor will charge the two extra plugs enabling the time machine function.

Oh wait. You have an '05. Never mind.

Careful gents... I think we have a member who knows how to work with us....

The reason you have two spark plugs is to create two flame fronts in the cylinder. This is slightly more efficient and allows you to have a different shaped combustion chamber which also adds to overall efficiency.

Now put down the gun and have a drink!! Woohooo! Welcome aboard!
