Thanks man, just read your post on the wet sanding/polishing portion - I am going to harbor freight tomorrow for sure!

Like I said, it took a leap of faith to put sand paper to that glossy clear. But trust it. It will polish it out to a mirror finish if you put the same effort you have done on the rest of your build.

I splurged and bought the sandpaper and polish from a paint supplier (instead of HF). The paper is waterproof (meaning the paper backing won't dissolve after it sits in water for 15 minutes). That sanding block was worth the money too. All told, the polishes ($25 each), sand paper ($7 each), sandblock ($7), pads ($8), and the DA Sander ($35), and 8 new microfiber towels ($5) was what I spent on polishing.

Well phase 1 is 99% done!!!!! I am still waiting to get my Baron's Profiler gas cap, the "Y" oil line that I let a customer have off my bike, and the 3 screws that hold the speedo down - I used them on the other R* I am selling since it had some other ugly bolts in there. They should all be in tomorrow.

Here is what I started with (looks much better in the picture than it really was)...
