WOW!!! Lemme say it again WWWWOOOOOWWWWW!!!

Love this Mod. This is the way this bike should have come from the factory.

55 mph on the speedo and I am still comfortably in 4th.

Seems like less up and down shifting on the slower roads.

Absolutely the way this bike should be!!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!

THANK YOU PASTOR!!!!!

Correct. It's no secret that I hold the opinion that the Roadstar is a rather underpowered, vibrating turd of a bike. My pickup truck is faster. But, I still love mine because it looks and sounds cool, and for some reason that I have a hard time pinpointing, it's really fun to ride.

Never rode a Panhead, huh?

All of that AND super buzzy over 55 mph.
Pans sound like a coffee can with a handful of nails in a paint shaker.

Hey! I take umbrage at your remark! My panhead was a wonderful paint-shaker! And I'm sure it made all of 40 horsepower, or maybe 45

But it was cool!

Finally did the mod, got it finished yesterday but it was raining, so I didn't have a chance to test it.

Took it out tonight, 20 miles, some highway, plenty of city.

All I can say is "WOW."

33 tooth front, 65 tooth rear - as PastorNJ first stated, it makes the bike's gearing range way more practical/usable/comfortable.

I especially loved in-town cruising - doing about 50-60 km/h (30-40 mph)...just purred, didn't feel like I had to keep switching gears. Now pulls in first up to a practical speed before I have to switch.

On the highway it really took the bite off higher speeds.

Can't wait until I get it outside of rush hour traffic, dying to try it out like I usually ride -fully loaded, 2 up and hammering on the slab. I've got a good feeling about this.

What a super mod. Thanks to PastorNJ for the trial run and all those who followed who loved it - totally worthwhile and not difficult to do.

Cheers

George
What size belt did you end up using and where did you get it ?

127 tooth Gates polychain. 1.5 inch belt.

User rullocustomcycles2012 on fleabay.

Purchased on May 4, 2013 (wow, didn't think I had it that long before I installed it - yikes!)

Price was $169.95. I remember I had difficulty pinning down 127 teeth at the time.

EDIT: Here's a place with 1.5 inch - http://www.wpsracing.com/14gahtdpochd16.html

If you need 1 1/8 inch you may be out of luck, saw a page from 2011 here https://www.bikertrends.com/download/pdf/BC/Updated%20Pages/11BCFinalDrive808.pdf that suggests there was no 127 tooth 1 1/8 part number but there was a 126 and a 128.

Here's another - no 127 offered at this site either: http://www.legendmcs.com/custom-chrome-harley-parts-driveline/driveline-rear-belts-new.html

hope that helps

George

I am going to be selling a complete set for anyone who is interested. I have the following.

33 tooth front pulley 1 1/2 wide
65 tooth rear pulley 1 1/2 wide
127 tooth belt 1 1/2 wide.

I will take pictures of the complete set tomorrow for the classified. Price will be $170.00 plus shipping.

The reason for selling is I have a 2007 and cruising speed is not a factor for me.

Are these parts all new?

If so, that's a screaming god deal!

If Spydr doesn't take it I will
