Price is good if someone is looking for a deal on parts
or has the time to work on it and get it running

If he bought the bike new, why is there no title? I would suspect some kind of lien issues. Maybe he got a title loan, then relocated and skipped the bill. I believe that's called larceny. Could become a real rats nest for a future buyer.

If no clean title in hand with no issues....WALK AWAY. ...you can buy a beautiful low mileage perfect running Roadstar for $3k....less sometimes. Legal fees for a bad title could equal this.

Absolutely positively never ever buy a project bike without a clean title. Not worth the potential issues. Ever. Period.

The other thing is an owner who has what they call a "floating title"

I have walked away from a couple of killer deals in the last ten years because the current owner only had possession of a legal title signed by someone else they bought the bike from and never registered it in their name.

The conversation went something like "just go to the DMV and have it registered in your name" even though they were unwilling to meet you there because they did not want to be caught holding the bag

I DONT HAVE TITLE.

But then there is no explanation about the reason as to why he doesn't have the title. That's because he bought it and then did something to have the title taken away. What a douche bag. Some idiot kid is going get suckered into that one. They are going to walk away with a "Bill of Sale" and a sorry experience when the bike is useless and CL dumbass is $850 richer which is the amount he needs for the moving truck to move out of state never to be seen again.

If I recall, that bike was posted last summer with the same story! I could be wrong.

He would be better off to break it down into parts to sell.
