At $2500 for the weekend, we would need to have about 100 people to make it worthwhile. That gets the cost to somewhere around $50 per person. You could knock the number down a bit if you charged more for the cabins, electric sites and such. Maybe the break even point comes down to 75 people. Can we guarantee that critical mass?

Lets all go over the prices of cabins and the house again and see if this is something we want to do. Could be that we rent all the cabins and just rent what tent/rv sites we need and hope we don't have others show up and complain. Each person/group could rent their own just as we do at the KOA. I'm going to throw out another option for us to look up and think about. The Hub is a motorcycle resort near Jasper.

For the people that stayed this year, we paid approximately $950 total. We'd have to more than double our size to justify the $2500 for the whole city park. Maybe we all make our own reservations and give Leatherwood a try next year.
How does that sound?

The Hub looks kind of interesting. Has anyone been there? Is there a place that everyone could gather to BS and maybe grill a little? I see they have tent camping sites available as well, did not know if they had something like the E.S. KOA pavilion or the a room like the Eagles at Celina? I might be wrong but a few more might come if all could get in the same hotel?

That might be a good option too. I didn't see a pavilion on their website.

We have a little time. No need to rush into anything.

I just got off the phone with the hub again. The week we picked is open. They have 1 charcoal grill and 2 propane grills for use. They have 2 fire pits for use on the North side. They keep the North side for the noisy types and keep the South side quiet. The owner rides a Roadstar and might me joining the RSC.
I kind of want to keep this in Eureka but what ever we decide as a group works for me. If we decide on the Hub we need to act somewhat soon. If we stick with the KOA or Leatherwood we have some time.
