So, what does anyone think... dump the signals, and find something small, even hidden?

What about those wire loom thingies under the top triple-tree clamp? Lose them, too?

I'm wanting to go as minimal as possible. I'm thinking... get as much gone as I can.

I've identified all the wires from the handlebar switches and controls, etc. It's time, after I've installed the bar that is to come, to get good measurements, re-attach the plugs to connect under the tank, and 'wrap' the wires in stainless steel braid from plumbing hoses.

It's getting closer!

I think it looks pretty good!! Much better without the turn signals. I thought the headlight might look a little to small, but I think it works. Nice !!

Yea, I'm in need of figuring something different there.

I could go LED strip around the fork legs, or something, but they require some other electrical component to make 'em work... What's that about? And, if I can't place or connect stuff in a headlight bucket anymore, what do I need, and where would I put it???

you are moving along very quickly.....
i look at my bob and think how good it looks without any of the gear on.... but i know i need it.
you mentioned trying to hide stuff, what about a couple of these...... stripped down and tucked under the top tree....? (not sure if the light spreed would be that great)

Running lights using LEDs won't require anything extra since you can buy 12v LEDs, including LED strips.
It's the signals that require either balance resistors to make mechanical flashers work, or to use solid-state/digital flashers to make the LEDs blink.
Bulbs offer line resistance to forward voltage & most flashers require that resistance to flash, LEDs offer little to no resistance.

This fits in here, right? I mean, I can make this fit in here ... right?

Here, in the states, it's my understanding that, by law our directional need to be ay least 9" apart.

Which, last I measured, I think was about the distance between our fork legs.

I'll check it again... I found a bar I had laying around with some small directionals on it. Pretty sure they're LED lights, and I'll need that resister thingie to make those work.

Whoa! Looking into the bar with small directionals I had laying around, I realized it started out as a factory stock light bar for the passing lamps and directionals, but got cut down some, and some rather cool looking directionals got screwed onto the ends.

I need to alter the mount some to get it to fit under my headlight mount bracket, and I need to modify my headlight mount bracket some because the bolt and nut through the bottom of it, from the headlight, presently hits the bar!

Oh, all the minor little fitment issues when altering and making other stuff to go on our bikes. It's fun though.

I'll also be soldering and shrink wrapping a lot of wire to re-install the connecters to fit under the tank, rather than in the headlight, after I've slipped lengths of stainless steel braid over the bundled wires!

Hey, guys, how about these signals and bar?

Next up will be sheathing all the wiring in stainless steel braid!

DOT for blinkers is 4" from the outer edge of the headlight
